Video conference knows from videophone calls in that it's designed to serve a meeting or more locations rather than individuals. It is an intermediate form of video telecommunication technologies first deployed commercially in U.S.A by AT&T during the early 1970s as part of their development of videophone technology. In the late 1990s, the relatively low cost, high capacity broadband telecommunication services was imported, and coupled with powerful computing processors and video compression techniques, the usage of video conference has made significant inroads in business, education, medicine and media.
